Living for Leon
Leon was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma in his head and neck at the age of 18. He underwent chemotherapy and radiation, but ultimately the disease progressed despite treatment.
Leon was an only child. He is described as sweet, caring, funny and had a dream of enlisting in the US Air Force like his grandfather. His mother and stepfather stood gracefully by his side for nine months from his diagnosis to death.
They did not ask for support during his treatment, until his hospice referral, in hopes that his stepdad could take time off work to be with his family.
Jane’s Fund gladly paid six months of Leon's family mortgage payment to help make that possible.
