“This One is Why Jane’s Fund Exists”

That's what long-time Novant Health social worker and Jane's Fund partner, Robin Gardner, said in her email to us.

She went on to describe an incredibly bright, responsible, lovely 17-year-old girl named Alexa who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and a poor prognosis.  She's a junior in high school here in Charlotte and sister to 7 and 11-year-old siblings.  Her hard working, single mom was already behind on bills before this life-changing news, facing eviction even that week.

Jane's Fund was able to jump in immediately to pay the backlog of bills and pay ahead three additional months to give the family runway with this new life change.

Robin went on to say, "Any other resources I could try would require a few weeks to access. The fact that you guys can pay things in the moment takes care of the real emergencies. I want to be sure you and those who support Jane's Fund understand the significant impact of that."
