Shining Like Sunnie

Sunnie was our very first Miracle Monday story.
She took her bright light to heaven on Tuesday of this week.

Many of you may remember that Jane's Fund was lucky enough to fully pay off Sunnie's family's mortgage earlier this year. It is rare that we meet a family we are supporting, so this moment is beautifully etched into our Jane's Fund memory.

Sunnie perfectly encapsulated her name: bright, funny, vibrant and full of love for life and for those around her. She held her mother's hand while she read a private note from Dr. Jane, mom-to-mom, as Sunnie and little Jane shared a diagnosis (DIPG, a brain tumor without a cure). 

Our hearts are shattered with Sunnie's parents, Jade and Carlos, and younger brother, Logan. Yet we are filled with gratitude for the legacy of love that she leaves for us all and for our chance to steal a few moments sitting in Sunnie's light

Shine bright, Sunnie.
