A Wild and Wonderful Celebration

Sterling Elementary School serves almost 700 students, grades PreK-5, with a majority of students identifying English as their second language.

The school's Family Advocate, Elsa Rivera, reached out to Jane's Fund about a celebration for students who met their attendance, behavioral and academic goals leading up to Spring Break.

They were able to find a "zoo on wheels" and bring animals to campus for children to meet, learn about and enjoy. The celebration doubled as an art and science lesson; classes spent two days with llamas, goats and pigs - oh my!

Jane's Fund is honored to be able to support incentives like this, dreamt up by our local high-need schools, helping to achieve their goals and bring joy and outside-the-box learning to students.
