Building Dreams in Buzz City

You may remember our partner Sport Mode One. Jane's Fund proudly sponsors summer camps and year-long basketball clinics through SMO, helping bridge communities through sports.

Recently, we had the opportunity to partner with SMO to send 20 young athletes to a special Charlotte Hornets training camp on the floor at Spectrum Arena.

SMO founder Lawrence Gordon called it the experience of a lifetime, sharing that it gave these young men the opportunity to see and feel their dreams.

When founding Jane's Fund, Dr. Jane Harrell said, "Trying and excelling at a variety of sports taught little Jane many lessons: how to lose and get back up again; how sports can tear down biases, create unity, build confidence, fight fear and encourage empathy with all kinds of people. Sports even helped her focus more intently on academics."

We're so grateful to Sport Mode One for doing that work every day and inviting Jane's Fund to be a part of it!
