Jane's Fund is celebrating February with stories of LOVE that make miracles...not the kind of love where someone expects a favor or something in return but a LOVE that creates awe and wonder.

Founded on acts of Love, Jane's Fund received indescribable love as Jane, age 17, suffered and died over 5 months from DIPG (brain cancer without a cure). The Harrell family, struggling to hang on, remained afloat because friends, neighbors, strangers, and family stepped in

An anonymous "friend" paid for Jane's celebration of life service
Neighbors planted flowers, paid bills, dropped meals, and carried trash cans to and from the curb
A friend found burial plots near deceased grandparents in a local cemetery that had been "full" for years
A brother fulfilled Jane's wish to go back to school for one more day by paying for a private plane to Massachusetts, unsure if she would survive the flight and too sick to drive

Experiencing life-giving, life-changing love creates a "ripple effect" where the receiver looks for an opportunity to be the giver. Hearing of a 12-year-old girl named Amanda, diagnosed with brain cancer not long after Jane died, strangers reached out to strangers to inquire about a mortgage pay off. Amanda's accountant mother and small business-owner father were struggling to do life as they tag-teamed treatment at the hospital, work, and younger siblings at home. Hearing of a house mortgage and a boat mortgage, strangers didn't quite understand why both needed to be paid. Jane's Fund launched with complete understanding that Amanda and her family not only needed their home, but they also needed another day in the family boat as the life they had once lived together came to an end.

Except for rare occasions, Jane's Fund remains anonymous to families with kids dying of cancer as we pay off mortgage payments or cars. A true gift doesn't create a burden or need a thank you but is simply meant to make life easier and encourage the heart. Jane's Fund exists because of YOUR love, and for this gift, we will be forever grateful.

Currently, we need your help with mortgage payments for Annie (age 9, leukemia relapsed x3), DJ (age 16, relapsed osteosarcoma), Tessa (age 3, sarcoma), Jeremiah (age 12, metastatic gastric cancer), and Isabel (age 2, high grade brain tumor).

One month of mortgage: $1,850
Six months of mortgage: $11,100
Pay off an entire mortgage: $75,428
