Hello From Camp!

120 third graders from Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School recently traveled to Camp Thunderbird for a day of adventure, fellowship and fun. Taking learning outside of school walls gives students a chance to learn independence, confidence and resilience in ways they might not otherwise have the opportunity - and introduces them another part of the world outside their own community.

School Counselor, Mr. Ayo Adisa, shared that each year they ask their graduating fifth grade students to share their favorite memory from elementary school. Without fail, it is almost unanimously the Thunderbird trip.

With a chance the trip might not be possible this year, Jane's Fund was thrilled to fully fund the experience, and hopes to ensure it is possible for every third grader for years to come.
