Taylor’s Story
10-year-old Taylor was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma (cancer beginning in the nerve cells) in September 2023, after several months of misdiagnosis for her rib/abdominal pain. She has bravely faced paralysis, emergency surgery, chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, radiation and immunotherapy as she battles the disease.
Even with all of this, the five-year survival rate for her particular cancer is less than 50%, even lower at her age. The family of four travels 160 miles one-way every three weeks for Taylor’s treatment and yet were considering selling a car to help with finances for her treatment.
Jane’s Fund was able to pay one full year of Taylor's family's car payments. Our hope is to enable them to keep both family cars, allowing flexibility to care for Taylor during the unthinkable and maintain "normal" life as much as possible for her 8-year-old brother.
Opportunities like these are possible because of dedicated community partners and your generous support of Jane's Fund!
